As you know, the situation we are all facing with the COVID-19 pandemic is ever evolving and very fluid. These are uncharted waters we navigate. We are learning, right alongside you, how to live in these times. We have been encouraged to take new steps to ensure the safety of our congregation, community, state, nation, and world. We have met together as the shepherds and staff of your church and feel the best course of action for us as a church body is to transition to online streaming services and our KSWO broadcast of our regular meeting times. While we won’t be assembling together for corporate worship for the time being, we will have ways to continue to connect as The Body of Christ through technology.

As always, we will have our Sunday morning corporate worship experience for your viewing in our local areas through KSWO. Additionally, we will be streaming a Sunday school lesson, our Sunday morning corporate worship service, and Sunday evening discipleship class online for you. We encourage your participation in these different services offered through a new avenue of connection.

We have set up a link on our church website, www.fbclawton.org/livestream, for this live- streaming service. You can watch the livestream feed from this location as well as other social media outlets.

While we have the right to assemble protected under our constitution; let’s keep in mind, we are taking these measures to protect the people of the church and community by respecting and adhering to the direction of our local, state, and federal officials. We will always lead with the Word of the Lord as our ultimate guide and source of wisdom.

Remember to continue giving and tithing. The Truth remains. God provides for which He requires of us. Ministry continues to carry on at First Baptist and we have a responsibility to follow through with all we have committed to in our neighborhoods and around the world through our tithes and regular offerings. We have multiple ways for you to be faithful in this way. We have an online giving link on our website (www.fbclawton.org/give), you can drop them in the mail, or even drop them off in our church office or drop box anytime.

We look forward to worshiping with you and your family, starting this Sunday, March 22, from the comfort of your home. Keep encouraging others and praying for healing from The Lord. Continue to be the church God has called us to be in Lawton, OK and surrounding areas. Thank you for all you do, First Baptist Church!

We are blessed to serve you!
