The development of our website has made it an exciting time for us here at FBC. We had laid out an outline on launching our new site at a later time, but as we all know, things don’t always go to plan. However, I am very grateful for the opportunity to work here as a media/communications assistant to help out with our website, social media, and publications. It has truly been a blessing to be able to come on board here and work with this amazing ministry, even if there have been some maintenance turbulence along the way.

During the first initial weeks of working here, it was established that we would work towards updating our presence online. That being said, it’s been a fun process of creating accounts such as Twitter, Pinterest, Vimeo, and SoundCloud. With these accounts, a lot of our help will actually come from our members. There is so much information to be shared with our church to keep everyone involved. Even Jesus tells us to get involved with the action to, “go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation” Mark 16:15. What better way can we share it than with World Wide Web right there at our finger tips with our smart phones?

We have online videos and sound players to listen and catch up on sermons if you miss a Sunday, Facebook and Twitter to remind folks about church activities, and most importantly, our website. Be sure to sign up for updates to make it more convenient to let us stay connected with everyone! Let’s see if we can start trending this Sunday with #SundayFundayatFBC
