January is the time for a new year and new beginnings. This past year has been one of change and growth for First Baptist Church Lawton – Fort Sill. We navigated the waters of COVID 19 and welcomed a new pastor during the pandemic. You may have felt as I that things were changing rapidly under the current pandemic climate; one of the best ways to continue to be updated is to subscribe to our weekly newletter.
During this month of December we are asking all who would like to continue or start receiving our weekly newsletter to please let us know by calling the church office at (580) 353-1770 or online at fbclawton.org/connect/contact/.
If you are filling out the online contact form or “Connect Card” Sunday morning please make sure that you include your name and a specific email address and/or mailing address.
If you are currently on our newsletter mailing list please still notify us so that your subscription is not interrupted once January 2021 rolls around. To help us with the budget for our newsletter we ask that you resubscribe to our newsletter every year. Another way that you can help us to lower our budget is to subscribe to receive our newsletter in an electronic form either via email or you can find the current and weekly past editions at http://fbclawton.org/news/newsletters/.
If you currently receive the Baptist Messenger from the Oklahoma Baptists and would still like to receive their newsletter you do not have to worry, for you will still receive their publication in the mail. If you would like to be added to that list, please contact us so we may add you to that mailing list also.
Our weekly newsletter includes weekly words from Pastor Mike Keahbone, a church member written article covering a highlighted outreach opportunity, special events or a new way to get plugged into the church, weekly budget totals, weekly prayer requests, upcoming events, new member spotlight, upcoming Wednesday night meals and continued acknowledgment and thank yous from our church members.
Please note that due to the Christmas and New Year holidays resulting in office closure we will not be publishing newsletters on Dec. 24 & 31.
Please let us know this month if you’d like to sign up for our weekly newsletter so that we make sure you get the first edition of 2021!
