How are teams drafted?
Teams are drafted to be as evenly matched as possible. This is so no one team can dominate league play. Teams are drafted by the Upward League Manager (ULM); a computer-generated drafting system. The ULM uses the scores taken at assessment time to draft teams.

If a family member is deployed, how do I request a fee waiver?
As a way of saying thank you to those who serve, Upward Sports and FBC Lawton will pay $50 towards the registration fee of every child who may have a parent or legal guardian who is currently deployed overseas (any time during the current Upward Season). A copy of orders is required to receive registration fee waiver. Call Sarah or Chris, Upward League Directors at (580) 353-1770 for more information.

If I need a scholarship, who do I contact?

Why are assessment dates grade-specific?
To better serve you and your family, Upward assessment nights at First Baptist Church are grade-specific to get you through assessments as easily and quickly as possible. This time allows us to focus on one grade bracket at a time.

What if my child has never played sports or cheered before?
No problem. Upward is set up to serve all skill levels in each sport. We have children that were born with a basketball or pom in-hand and we have children that have never dribbled a ball or shouted. This is the place for them! See why here.
