In Luke 14 the Lord Jesus Christ used a parable concerning a great supper to illustrate the truths of His great salvation.  In this parable, Jesus emphasized our responsibility to reach the unsaved.  We must go into the highways and hedges of life, and compel people to come in that His house will be full.  We don’t need to pray that God will fill His house as we gather to worship when God has told us to do it.  God’s plan is simple enough.

Lifeway Research reveals that the Christmas season is now the most likely time of year that an unsaved person will attend church.  SHARE THE GIFT follows God’s simple plan as we leverage the Christmas season to invite people to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ.  So, SHARE THE GIFT is not some contrived program that costs hundreds or thousands of dollars.  It is simply you and I being faithful to the teaching and command of Christ with a desire to take advantage of the season and bring an acquaintance, friend, or family member to church to hear the gospel.

Some great opportunities that we have to invite people to church to hear about our Savior during the Christmas season includes The Living Christmas Tree Presentations on December 8, 7:00 p.m., December 9, 6:00 p.m., and December 10, 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.; the Worship Services on December 3, 10, 17, and 31; as well as the special Christmas Eve Candlelight Service on December 24, at 10:50 a.m.

Your invitation to an acquaintance, friend, or family member to come and hear about God’s amazing gift of grace will be the best gift you could offer this Christmas season.  So, let’s SHARE THE GIFT.  God’s “gift” is truly the gift that keeps on giving…for eternity.
