Things are happening at First Baptist Lawton.  Our ministry programs are in full swing for the summer. Mission trips, camps, and Vacation Bible School have been a great success! Falls Creek and more mission trips have the calendar looking busy for July. There are truly some great things happening at First Baptist Church.

The DISCIPLESHIP of the Saints cannot be overlooked at times like this.  No matter how busy we get, we cannot neglect our continued growth in our relationship and understanding of the Father; His love and plan for us.

With that in mind, we will begin our Summer Bible Study on Wednesday July 17th.  The list of Wednesday nights are July 17, 24, 31 and August the 7th.

Patrick will teach a study on “Learning How to Have a Daily Prayer Time.”

What a great leap in faith occurs when a believer begins to include that personal worship in their daily routine.  Corporate worship is uplifting, but personal worship is strengthening.  Even our Savior withdrew on a regular basis to have individual time with the Father. Paul, after his Damascus road conversion, went away for months to spend time alone and prepare himself through prayer and discipleship for his calling. (Gal 1:17)  The Apostles ordained lay leadership in order to have time to devote themselves to study and prayer. (Acts 6:4) The Scripture is full of examples where strong believers based their daily walk on time spent alone with the Father.

Come and be a part of Summer Bible Study.
