I love you First Baptist Family! The Lord blessed us with another wonderful Sunday gathering! We were challenged to continue in our season of prayer and keeping our commitment to the #10x10x10 challenge. We were also challenged by the Word of God to live lives that give powerful proof that we, as believers, are in fact gloriously saved! The altar was busy and the Lord brought us a new brother to join our church family! Hallelujah! The Lord is at work in us.

This Sunday at 5pm we will be gathering in the Fellowship Hall as a church family for our regular business celebration. That’s right, celebration and not meeting. I love gathering to celebrate what God is doing in the life of our church and that is what we will be doing. I want to encourage every single one of you to attend. During this celebration we will discuss our Children’s Ministry and the vision for hiring a full-time Children’s Coordinator. I have some ideas that I want to share with you and I am looking for input on a few key questions in my mind and heart. We will, obviously, have our regular reports and take care of any business deemed necessary, but most importantly we will celebrate and pray together.

My ministry experience has taught me that unless there is something controversial on the agenda, the attendance for a church business meeting is typically small with only a minuscule representation of the entire church body. This should not be so! This should be a celebration time and a time for us to seek the heart of God as He directs our church. You are a valuable member of our family and you should have clarity on where we are financially, spiritually, and administratively as a church. So, please plan to be there! We will also be serving cookies!

I love you church family and I cannot wait to see what God does with us next! Make plans now to join us for church on Sunday morning and our Business Celebration on Sunday evening!
