The food distribution program, Food for Families, our church had the opportunity to organize and participate in was such a blessing to so many, volunteers and recipients alike.  We were hopeful this program would continue through the fall.  However, the program got caught in some governmental “red tape” in the bidding process with a new group of distributors.  So, while we have done all we can, it’s just out of our control.  If, in the future, we have the opportunity to participate in this program we will be calling on our amazing volunteers to distribute the gospel with a side of dairy and vegetables.

Thank you to all who volunteered for these distribution days.  We have such a loving, committed group of people who see our city with the eyes of Jesus.  How blessed we are as your church staff to stand arm in arm with you and serve in Lawton.

We have another service opportunity this Saturday, October 31st at M28 Ministries from 8 am-noon.  Our group will be helping with their Saturday morning worship service, and distributing clothing and food.  This outreach gives aid to a large population in our community who are in need.  If you loved serving in our food distribution at the church, you’ll love serving with our group at M28!  Consider serving either this weekend or for our dates in November and December.  For more information on this weekend or this ministry, please contact either myself or Aileen Sadler.
