In these challenging times it’s imperative that men become the husbands, fathers, and leaders that Jesus has called us to be. To assist in that journey, FBC Lawton is excited to be hosting our Second Annual Men’s Conference featuring Pastor Johnny Hunt on Aug 25-26. For over 25 years Dr. Hunt has pastored one of the largest churches in the country, First Baptist Woodstock in Georgia. His hometown men’s conference draws over 10,000 in attendance and another 40,000 online. We are blessed to have Dr. Hunt share his message of “Take Aim” with us here in SW Oklahoma. In Johnny’s words, “Wrong thinking. Bad choices. Lack of self control. They may not be big game, but they can be just as tough to bring down. By God’s grace let’s face these foes and take them down together.”
You can register online at fbclawton.org/ministries/men/johnnyhunt. Early bird registration is by Aug 11 and tickets are $50. After Aug 11, tickets are $60. Registration includes a fish fry on Fri night with all the fixings, and some of the fish will be locally caught thanks to Billy Cooper. There will be breakfast served Sat morning. Our staff has recruited from several churches in the SW Oklahoma area to provide multiple choices of breakout speakers and topics. Members of FBC will also have the opportunity to sponsor a soldier or first responder for a $50 registration. Pastor Latham and our church staff have done a great job reaching out to area churches in SW Oklahoma. Now you can do your part by getting the word out to the men in our community. There has only been one perfect man. The rest of us don’t need to ask how we can be perfect, only how we can be better.
