#LOVELAWTON is a mix of Wednesday night ministries which gives our church members an opportunity to share the love of Christ and a gospel witness through rehearsing music for leading Sunday worship (Celebration Choir), by helping children learn and apply God’s Word (AWANA), to perform random acts of Christian kindness (R.A.C.K.), to connect with people/families who have recently visited our Sunday School and/or worship service, to write cards to recent guests, absentees, and shut-ins, to plan block parties in local neighborhoods in order to share the gospel and establish bus ministry routes, and to visit members who are homebound and in nursing homes or retirement centers.
I am excited about the opportunities that God is going to give us to impact our community in the coming months through the ministry of #LOVELAWTON. I am convinced that through the body of Christ at First Baptist Church Lawton – Ft. Sill, Christ is seeking to save that which is lost (Luke 19:10).
The Apostle Paul declared, “Therefore my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain” (I Corinthians 15:58). Through our faithfulness to Christ and because of His great faithfulness there is no doubt that God will give us “fruit” for our labor. God promises “though one goes along weeping, carrying the bag of seed (gospel), he will surely come back with shouts of joy, carrying his sheaves” (Psalm 126:6).
If you are not involved in the ministries of AWANA, Celebration Choir, R.A.C.K., visiting recent guests, writing cards, block parties, or visiting members who are homebound or in nursing homes/retirement centers please come and join us on Wednesday evenings, 5:45 p.m. (Choir & AWANA @ 6 p.m.) for #LOVELAWTON. Your involvement in these ministries can make a difference that will last for eternity.
