God is so good! We have just finished Thanksgiving and are now looking forward to Christmas. As we walk through the next few weeks of this Christmas Season and life gets so busy, my prayer is, we do not forget to celebrate the One who gives us life. Our Savior was born to die for you and me, that we might have everlasting life by trusting in Him. Our Savior has commanded us to be His voice here upon the earth, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel” (Mark 16:15). We must start in Lawton to reach the world! As a church, our largest undertaking of the year is the production of the Living Christmas Tree. This is the 36th year of this gospel outreach in our community. Please pray that God’s mercy and love will touch lives in our community like never before though this ministry.
You may say, but I’m not a part of The Living Christmas Tree because I can’t sing. God can use all of us as we give to Him through our tithes and offerings. We are in the third quarter of our budget year and have taken in about 97% of what we need to meet our budget. As 2016 is quickly coming to an end, I ask each of us to search our hearts and give as Our Lord has given to us. He has given us life and has asked us to share. Through our tithes and offerings the Living Christmas Tree has been shared with our community for 35 years. Through our tithes and offerings we are helping to reach the world for Christ.
I thank my Lord that He has allowed me to be a part of a loving and giving church such as First Baptist Church, Lawton. May we all be found faithful!
