Fall Back Weekend, or Fall Retreat as some call it is a great weekend for students. Last year we had about 2,000 people gathered at Falls Creek Baptist Conference Center Fall Back Retreat. This year it is October 18-19 at Falls Creek.
I love Fall Retreat and have the opportunity to serve on a board of ministers to plan this event. I have been leading in this role for many years now.
The thing about Fall Retreat is that it gives our students the chance to revisit things they were challenged by at Falls Creek from the summer. It also is focused a little more towards discipleship and how to be a better leader. This year our speaker is Ben Trueblood, who is the head over Student Ministry at Lifeway. Our music leaders are a group called “Soul Society”, they are from the Shawnee area.
This retreat will be a great time for our students. Falls Creek opens the concession stands, ropes courses, has activities from a bonfire, to a movie, a missions walk through activity, as well as many other activities.
Fall Retreat will be an exceptionally important time for our students here at FBC because it will give us the chance to hang out together, build better friendships and grow more in our relationship with God. You don’t want to miss out.
Please continue to pray not only for our students and adults as we go on this retreat, but also once we return. Please continue to pray daily and weekly as students reach their friends for Christ.
Deadline to sign up for Fall Retreat is quickly approaching! If you would like to provide a scholarship for a student or have any questions please contact Aaron. Cost is $40 and must have a release form filled out. Email – firstname.lastname@example.org
