Vacation Bible School will be here before you know it and FBC has already begun planning for this important ministry event. This is a great opportunity for our church to share with children the gospel in a creative and memorable way. This year’s theme is Galactic Starveyors that is designed to teach children that God created the universe and everything in it and He wants a personal relationship with them. It will be a fun-filled week for children who have completed kindergarten through the sixth grade. During the week of June 5 – June 9, there will be between 100 – 200 children who will attend VBS here at FBC. Many of these children are members or regular attendees of our church, several of them attend churches throughout our community and several of them are unchurched. We are blessed to have this opportunity to witness, minister and teach all of these children about Jesus Christ and what it means to have a relationship with Him. The children get excited about VBS and by the end of the week they have learned valuable life lessons through Bible stories, mission stories and songs. Every year, several make professions of faith. We have always been fortunate to have a strong community of volunteers who give their time, effort and love to these children and who help make this a life-changing experience for them. If you feel led to help this year, we would love to have you. You will be blessed as much as the children. We need volunteers who will serve as greeters, snack helpers, van drivers, van captains, craft leaders, teachers, guides, decorators, and daycare helpers for workers’ infants and toddlers. Most importantly, we ask that you begin praying now for the children whose lives will be touched during this very special week.
