"We will not hide them from their children, but will tell a future generation the praiseworthy acts of the Lord, his might, and the wondrous works he has performed. So the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children. Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but would keep his commands."  Psalm 78:4,6-7

Children will attend service with their families on Easter Sunday. Childcare for ages 0-3 will be provided.

What is K4C?

This program takes place during our main worship service. What we embody in K4C is we try and duplicate what is taking place in the adult service but on a kid friendly level.  We spend time in worship, engage in a Bible lesson, and use a game or an activity to illustrate the life application of the lesson given that morning. The first Sunday of every month is identified as "Children's Sunday". 1st-5th grade will attend the main service with their parents or guardian. We see the value of our kids attending the main service to see their family and church family worship together. We pray that our kids see the value and significance in worshipping together as a family.

At First Baptist Church Lawton, our Children's Ministry is a high priority. Children are not only the future church but the church of today. We want your child to experience a safe space to learn about who God is in a relative and exciting way. Kids learn in many different ways. Here at FBC Lawton, we provide age appropriate environments and several learning styles within our Children's Ministry; Large group teaching, small groups, interactive worship, bible skills, discipleship- all included in high energy activities. We know that parents are the primary disciple makers of their children. We seek parents in every part of the process, and we want to partner with you in this important adventure. This process will challenge and encourage your child in developing a Christ-like character and to be confident in their relationship with Him.

What is MIDWEEK?

This program starts off with a big group time of games, worship, and a large group devotion connected to their Grow Curriculum monthly series. This time is led by our Haley Hollenbeck as well as other volunteers. The second half of our program is small group time (divided by ages/grades 3s-4s, Preschool, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th) led by a wonderful group of leaders. This gives our kids a time to be intentional and dig deeper in the lesson we just covered in our large group time.

Leadership for Kids? Why?
We believe in investing in and discipling our kids! These are THE spiritual leaders of the future. We believe that instilling spiritual disciplines and having high expectations for our kids makes a significant impact on them and their spiritual walk with the Lord. We challenge these leaders in big ways. They are given opportunities in leadership, to be on mission, and discipleship experiences. We give them the tools and encouragement to feel confident in who God created them to be and what He has called them to do.

"I love that the Kids Ministry at FBC Lawton teaches the Gospel Truth every time they meet and isn't just childcare."

- Whitney Kochenower

"FBC KIDS is a Gospel centered ministry that challenges children to grow strong in their relationships with Jesus. Children are encouraged to memorize scripture, engage in devotionals at home throughout the week, and are given opportunities to serve on a leadership team at church. If there is a children's event at church, my kids will not allow me to miss!"

- Jayme Stringfellow

"FBC KIDS is giving my kids the tools to grow their personal relationship with Jesus. They have fun while engaging in worship and Bible study at a young age. They are excited to be there every time the doors are open! These kids are the present AND future of First Baptist Church Lawton!"

- Kirsten Greene
