The Living Christmas Tree is presented as a gift to the community from First Baptist Church by a 100 voice choir, full orchestra and drama cast. The 39 foot metal constructed tree is covered with 100,000 computer controlled lights moving in synchronization to music. It is a unique sight to behold. Each year offers a new presentation, but the message is always the same. The purpose and heartbeat of this event is to share the gospel message of Christ and His love.
This years production of our 42nd Living Christmas Tree - “The Long Awaited Journey of Christmas” an adaptation to the Musical “The Journey of Christmas”, From the first song to the last song, both choirs and congregations will be taken on a journey about the long awaited and anticipated Christmas season. The Journey of Christmas Music features sing-able arrangements of both time-honored and newly-created songs for the Christmas season. The journey of Mary and Joseph is a captivating story that simply must be shared time and time again, and what better way to share than through the sounds of music.
